Fans in the Valley would just have to wait a few more weeks instead of a month to witness Kevin Durant play in Arizona.

The Phoenix Suns confirmed on Twitter that the All-Star forward sustained a left ankle sprain and will be re-evaluated in three weeks.

Initial reports had feared KD would miss the rest of the regular season—and potentially the first week of the playoffs by mid-April—as well as his home debut, after he rolled his ankle during warm-ups against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The 6-foot-10 forward immediately hopped up and was walking, but several minutes later, the Suns confirmed that he would miss the game.

The Arizona Republic earlier reported there is "concern" in the organization Durant could miss 4-6 weeks with a Grade 2 ankle sprain. That timeframe covers the rest of the regular season, which ends April 9, and likely part of a first-round playoff series.

The play-in tournament starts April 11 and the first round of the playoffs will begin on April 15.

In 42 games with the Suns and Brooklyn Nets this season, Durant has averaged 29.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 5.2 assists.

The Suns are currently fourth in the West with a 37-29 record.
