Eldrew Yulo was unable to nab a medal in his first final at the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup in Baku, Azerbaijan, finishing sixth among eight finalists in his pet event floor exercise on Saturday.

Yulo, who qualified fourth, was unable to breakthrough with his routine, scoring 13.900.

A small bump in his score, an increase of .200, was given after Yulo's camp submitted an inquiry but was not enough to propel him to the podium.

He did, however, improve his placing from seventh.

Belarusian Yahor Sharamkou nabbed top honors with a score of 14.533—0.633 of a point ahead of Yulo.

The young gymnast was within .300 of a point for the podium, but Japan's Kazuki Minami made 14.200 for the bronze.

Kazakh Milad Karimi rounded up the podium finishers, winning silver with 14.300.

Yulo has another chance to medal in his first competition in the seniors division when he competes in the horizontal bar final on Sunday, March 8.
