Jaylen Brown erupted for 42 points, spearheading the Boston Celtics' 123-117 come-from-behind win over the Knicks that ended New York’s four-game winning streak on Wednesday, Dec. 3 (PH time).

It marked Brown’s third 40-point game of the season and it came during the milestone 500th regular-season meeting between these two storied franchises.

With the win, the Celtics now hold a commanding 309–191 all-time record over the Knicks.

Boston overcame an early 14-point deficit with a dominant 37–20 second quarter, taking a 58–52 lead into halftime.

The Celtics then flexed their muscle late in the third, rattling off 12 unanswered points in the final 2:29 to extend their lead to 94–76 heading into the fourth.

New York, however, refused to go quietly.

A thrilling 23–8 run, capped by a Bridges three-pointer, cut the deficit to 102–99 with 6:28 left, putting New York back in the game.

On the other hand, Mikal Bridges had a season-high 35 points to pace New York with Karl-Anthony Towns contributing 29 and Josh Hart adding 19.

But star Jalen Brunson struggled, shooting just 6-for-21 and finishing with 15 points, as the Knicks fell to 13–7.

Looking ahead, the Knicks will aim to regroup at home against the Charlotte Hornets (6–15), while the Celtics hit the road to face the struggling Washington Wizards (3–17).
