It was contrasting results for Kevin Quiambao’s Goyang Sono and SJ Belangel’s Daegu KOGAS in KBL action on Tuesday, Nov. 19.

Quiambao scored just four points, but his Goyang teammates stepped up in a 93-82 decision over former league MVP Ethan Alvano and the Wonju DB Promy.

American import Nathan Knight and Junghyun Lee each scored 23 points, while Hee-Jae Jeong added 13 and Dong-Seob Lim contributed 11 in the Skygunners' victory.

Despite shooting just 2-for-8 from the field, Quiambao made an impact in other areas, grabbing 11 rebounds and recording eight assists.

Goyang improved to 6-10, tying the Hyundai Mobis Phoebus in the standings.

Alvano led Wonju with 15 points, but the team fell to 9-7 after their fourth loss in six games.

Goyang will aim for back-to-back wins when the Skyguuners face the Busan KCC Egis on Thursday, Nov. 20.

Meanwhile, Belangel finished with 16 points and seven assists in Daegu’s 94-93 overtime heartbreak over the Busan KCC Egis.

Heo Hoon made the game-winning free throws, capping his clutch performance with the team’s final five points to force regulation en route to a team-high 28 markers.

The loss dropped Daegu to 4-12, keeping them at the bottom of the 10-team standings.

Will Navarro did not saw action for Busan, which improved to 9-6 and moved into third place.

Daegu will face a tough challenge next against Carl Tamayo and the defending champion Changwon LG Sakers on Thursday, Dec. 4.
