Houston caught fire from beyond the arc as the Rockets sank a season-best 19 threes to torch the Boston Celtics for their third-straight win of the young NBA season.
When it rains, it definitely pours for Houston.
The red-hot Rockets rained down 19 triples en route to 128-101 blowout of the Boston Celtics, extending their win streak to three on Sunday, November 2 (PH time).
Kevin Durant set the tone early, exploding for 26 markers in the just 30 minutes, while Alperen Sengün flirted with a triple-double of 16 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists.
Reed Sheppard, Tari Eason, and Josh Okogie provided the long-range firepower, combining for 11 treys as the Rockets improved to 3–2 after dropping their first two outings of the NBA season.
Baylor Scheierman led Boston with 17 points, but the Celtics never led at any point and saw their three-game winning streak come to an abrupt end, slipping to 3–4.
Up next, Houston looks to keep its hot streak alive against the Dallas Mavericks (2–3), while Boston aims to regroup at home versus the Utah Jazz (2–3).
