World No. 1 Poland continued its dominance in the 2025 FIVB Men’s World Championship after powering past Turkiye in straight sets, 25-15, 25-22, 25-18, to advance to its fourth straight semifinals at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on Wednesday, September 24.
With the win, the Polish squad has yet to miss the semifinals since 2014, when they won their first World Championship title.
Poland dominated every offensive statistical category in the win over Turkiye, having more attacks, blocks, and service aces in the match.
Wilfredo Leon top-scored for the world No. 1 with 13 points on nine attacks, three blocks, and one service ace.
Leon was backed by Jakub Kochanowski also with 13 markers, while Bartosz Kurek and Norbert Heuber had 10 and nine markers, respectively.
Poland will now head for a juggernaut semifinal match against world No. 2 Italy on Saturday, September 27.
