Double Olympic champion Carlos Yulo makes light work of his pet event, winning the floor exercise gold medal at the 2025 Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships.
Carlos Yulo added another gold medal to his collection after acing his first final of the day at the 2025 Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships held in Korea on Saturday afternoon, ruling his pet event, the floor exercise.
An Olympic champion in the same event, Yulo blew the competition away with flawless execution on his routine for his fourth straight gold in floor exercise at the Asian championships.

Yulo gained the lead midway through the competition after performing a routine with a difficulty score of 5.700. He aced the routine to get the highest execution score of 8.800 to leapfrog over the rest of the 8-gymnast field.
Yulo ended up with a score of 14.600 after he was also given a bonus for his clean execution of the routine.
The 25-year-old was the standard of the competition that saw his closest rival Karimi Milad of Kazakhstan create drama late with his routine that landed him second with a total of 14.400. Execution proved the difference maker as
Milad only scored 8.600 there to trail behind Yulo.
Home bet Moon Geonyoung of Korea completed the podium with a distant third place score of 14.003.
Geonyoung lagged behind difficulty (5.600) and incurred a 0.3 penalty which dropped him in the order despite scoring higher in execution compared to Milad (8.633).
All three podium finishers received the 0.100 bonus.
Yulo competes in another final later today in the still rings apparatus.
The Filipino gymnast qualified for a total of five apparatus finals — with only the pommel horse excluded.
As of writing, Yulo has two medals so far in the Asian tiff. He previously won the bronze medal in the men’s all-around earlier this week.
