The top-ranked Seoul SK Knights finally got themselves on the board in the 2025 KBL Finals against Carl Tamayo and the Changwon LG Sakers.
Put the brooms back in the closet as the Seoul SK Knights avoided being swept by Carl Tamayo and the Changwon LG Sakers, 73-48, in Game 4 of their best-of-seven series in the 2024-25 KBL Finals at the Changwon Gymnasium on Sunday.
With their backs against the wall, the top-ranked SK Knights started strong and never looked back as Tamayo struggled with his shooting in what could’ve been a historic close out for the LG Sakers, who are seeking their first championship in franchise history.
Buoyed by a hot start from its starters, Seoul zoomed to a 16-point lead at the end of the first period, 26-10.
It was a wire-to-wire victory for the SK Knights, leading by as many as 33 points in the fourth quarter.
Four different players finished in double-digit scoring for Seoul with Jameel Warney leading the team with 14 points and 11 boards. He also had three assists, two steals, and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Tamayo had an uncharacteristic off-game, finishing with just seven points on a 1-of-8 shooting clip. He also had seven rebounds and one assist.

Changwon thus suffered its first loss in the postseason.
Previously, the LG Sakers were undefeated in six games in the playoffs, having swept their semis series against the Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus in three games. Changwon received a bye into the second round after finishing the regular season as the 2-seed.
Seoul’s Filipino import Juan Gomez de Liaño once again played sparingly, finishing with one rebound to his name. He had a KBL career-high 19 points in Game 2.
The series will head back to Seoul for Game 5 on Tuesday, May 13, at the Jamsil Students’ Gymnasium.
