Thirdy Ravena is ready to blaze another trail as he is now set to play in Europe via his new team in the Middle East.
After blazing the trail to Japan with the B.League, Thirdy Ravena is looking to take on another challenge for his professional basketball career.
Ravena is heading to Europe via the Middle East, signing with the Dubai Basketball Club, the team announced Tuesday.
The Dubai Basketball Club will play the 2024-25 season as first-timers in the ABA League, the top-tier professional league featuring teams from the old Yugoslavia such as Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro, and North Macedonia.
Thirdy and the Dubai Basketball Club will get a baptism of fire, as their ABA League debut will be against defending champion Crvena Zvezda of Serbia.
The Dubai Basketball Club will be coached by Jurica Golemac, and among Thirdy’s announced teammates include Nemanja Dangubic, Ahmet, Duverioglu, Leon Radoševic, Awudu Abass, Danilo Andusic, Klemen Prepelic, and Aleksa Uskokovic.
According to the team, Thirdy signed a one-year deal, with an option to extend.
Ravena is coming off a four-year stint with the San-en NeoPhoenix in Japan, winning the inaugural Asia Impressive Player of the Year last season.
