35-year-old Ra Guna, or Ricardo Ratlfiffe for Star and PBA fans, is having a late-career surge, powering his Busan KCC Egis to the 2024 KBL Finals.

Busan beat the no. 1 Wonju DB Promy 80-63 Sunday, advancing to the KBL title round for the first time since 2021.

KCC Egis won the semifinal series, 3-1, putting a bitter end to the breakthrough season of Wonju, led by Fil-Am MVP Ethan Alvano.

Ra, who last won the KBL Finals with Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus in 2019, scored 17 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in the Game 4 clincher.

For the current playoffs, where Busan is 6-1, Ra is averaging 23.3 points and 13.1 rebounds per game. He will play in the KBL Finals against either Changwon or Suwon, looking for his fifth title.

Busan’s advance to the KBL Finals also comes with qualification to the 2024-25 season of the East Asia Super League.

Ra famously played in the PBA with Star, instantly becoming a beloved Hotshots import despite his limited stints, the most recent one coming in 2017.
