Fans were quick to clarify.
Nagoya Diamond Dolphins guard Ray Parks Jr. shared quite an interesting post on Instagram last Monday, which raised a few questions among his fans and followers.
The post was simple.
"I’m sorry in advance if I let you down," he wrote in the caption of a photo of him while posing solo.
The post also had other photos, including one of a verse with the highlighted text, "Differentiate the fine line between what you can and can't control."
It immediately got netizens speculating about the state of his relationship with popular vlogger Zeinab Harake.
Some though were quick to rule this out, seeing as Parks posted a compilation video of their fun theme park trip just last week.

Some asked whether this was related to his contract with Nagoya in the Japan B.League and whether he would come back to play in the Philippines.
Others, however, also pointed out that the post included a photo of American R&B singer Brent Faiyaz's album, Wasteland.
One of Faiyaz's songs, "Rolling Stone," has a chorus with the very same lyrics as Parks' caption.
"I'm sorry in advance if I let you down. I'm sorry in advance if I let you down," said the song.
Maybe he's just really deep. Or maybe he's just really digging the beat.
Maybe we're just too much of a Marites.
Yeah, that's probably it.
