Jordan Clarkson hasn’t worn a Gilas Pilipinas jersey in two years, but his support is still very much present.

The naturalized player for Gilas expressed his support after the Philippines’ gutsy 95-88 overtime win over host Saudi Arabia in the FIBA Asia Cup 2025, clinching a spot in the quarterfinals.

Brownlee hit the game-tying triple with 3.7 seconds left that forced overtime and ended up with 29 points, five assists, and four rebounds.

In the extra period, the Philippines scored the first six points en route to arranging a final eight showdown with two-time defending champion and world no. 7 Australia on Wednesday, August 13 at 7:00 p.m. (PH time).

This marked Gilas' return to the quarterfinals after missing out in 2022. In 2017, Gilas made the final eight outright, only to suffer a 32-point shellacking at the hands of South Korea.

Clarkson last suited up for the country in the FIBA World Cup held in the Philippines, where he led the team to a 96-75 rout of China, earning their first and only victory in the tournament.

He scored 24 of his 34 points in a third-quarter scoring masterclass that helped Gilas secure its first World Cup win since 2014.

This offseason, the 2021 NBA Sixth Man of the Year signed with the New York Knicks, ending a six-year stay with the Utah Jazz.
