Exciting stuff during the national team's camp.
The Gilas Pilipinas pool may have been hobbled by injuries and the absence of several superstars, but the group that flew to Estonia are not pushovers by any chances.
In fact, it could be argued that this version of the national team has the most athletic members, and the casual dunk contests during training is a proof of that.
Case in point is Japeth Aguilar's gravity-defying dunks.
Safe to say, the 36-year-old Gilas veteran has fully recovered from his knee injury, and heads into the FIBA World Cup preparations as a healthy contributor.
If that video of Aguilar's one handed jam is not enough, here's another with a windmill dunk.
Thirdy Ravena and Jamie Malonzo also joined the fun. Thirdy, with his own version of the windmill. Although, Malonzo missed a casual between-the-legs attempt.
Rhenz Abando capped off the dunk festivities during the Gilas training with a gravity-defying reverse dunk.
For sure the legions of fans will expect these kinds of plays in the FIBA World Cup.
Expectations are also sky high with the Philippines hosting these year's edition of the quadrennial meet.
Gilas is set to play Estonia and Finland in separate tuneup games. Naturalized player and crowd-favorite Justin Brownlee has also joined the team after undergoing a medical procedure.
