Though few in numbers for now, the Alas Pilipinas Fan Club will be going all out in support of the national team at the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship.
Alas Pilipinas Men can count on a group of loyal supporters to show up each and every time as they engage in battle in their first-ever foray into the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship.
Though small in number, the newly-formed Alas Pilipinas Fan Club are raring to show their love for the team in the best way possible.
Speaking to media at the Philippine Experience event of the FIVB earlier this week at the National Museum, pioneer members said that they are looking to drum up support in-game and have worked to provide fans with paraphernalia to cheer on Alas.
“This coming Alas Pilipinas vs Iran, pupunta kami as a fans club and we have gathered Php 5,000 from donations and fundraising last month lang din in preparation for the World Championship,” said Brianca Fabi, one of the members of Alas Pilipinas FC.
“May mga nagawa kaming banners, and then, hand clappers and bobble head for Alas and for the fans as well na nanonood,” she added.
Fabi was joined by fellow members Marc Samson, Joy Magno, and Zoren Dela Cruz for the tour and they were sporting their very own “Alas Pilipinas” shirts that they are also working to distribute to other fans soon.
World Championship and beyond…
As for how they came to be, Samson said that they were simply united by the national team’s push, and are now a 20-strong contingent with many more interested to join, especially in the wake of the World Championship.
“We’re all supporting different teams and different players, and lahat sila bumuo ng national team,” said Samson.
But the fan club is eyeing more than just showing support in the World Championship.

With the group backing both Alas Men and Women, Alas Pilipinas FC said that they are eager to continue growing the sport in the Philippines.
Though admitting that there will be some challenges and struggles for the team, they urged everyone to keep supporting the national athletes.
“As a fans club talaga, we want to fully support the national team — be it the women’s or men’s team. Hopefully, as a team, we can push through watching and supporting the games on site and having more people in the club,” said Fabi.
“Also [gusto rin namin] palaganapin talaga yung Philippine volleyball kasi I know we’re not really the best. But the potential that we have, we can develop it into something more,” she added.
Since the club's inception earlier this year, the Alas Pilipinas Fan Club have been present in multiple national team events, including the build up to the World Championship.
Alas Pilipinas open their bid at the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship on Friday, September 12, against Tunisia at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Before hostilities begin, the World Championship will begin with an electrifying opening ceremony highlighted by performances by Kpop band BOYNEXTDOOR and local talent Karencitta.
Tickets for matches and the opening ceremony remain available at the official website.
