The Alas Pilipinas Women played their first five-set match of the tournament, but ultimately stumbled against Iran for their first loss of the AVC Nations Cup in Vietnam.
Alas Pilipinas had a 2-1 lead before Iran levelled the playing field and eventually stole the game, 25-16, 21-25, 26-24, 23-25, 13-15, in Pool B play of the 2025 AVC Nations Cup on Monday.
Iran improves to a 3-0 slate while Alas falls to 2-1.
