The DLSU Lady Spikers sweep the first round of UAAP Season 88 after an inspired four-set triumph against two-time defending champion NU Lady Bulldogs.
The DLSU Lady Spikers flexed their championship form after turning back NU in four sets, 25-21, 25-19, 19-25, 25-17, to cap the first round of UAAP Season 88 at the Mall of Asia Arena on Sunday.
La Salle swept the first round, and also snapped a five-game losing skid to the Lady Bulldogs.
The trio of Shevana Laput, Angel Canino, and Amie Provido all breached double-digits in scoring to pace La Salle, while the Lady Bulldogs dropped to 5-2 with the loss.
