Far Eastern University clobbered University of the East, 25-20, 25-14, 25-14, to barge into the win column in UAAP Season 88 women's volleyball at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion in Manila Wednesday, Feb. 18.

The Lady Tamaraws vented their ire on the Lady Warriors after suffering a three-set loss themselves against La Salle on opening day.

FEU stifled a UE challenge in the first set, then sustained its momentum to secure the sweep.

Holding a slim two-point lead, 16-14, in the opener as Khy Cepada kept the Lady Warriors within striking distance, the Lady Tamaraws unleashed an 8-4 blitz capped by a down-the-line attack from Lovely Lopez to reach set point.

Van Bangayan retaliated with back-to-back points for UE, but a final push from Faida Bakanke gave FEU the early 1-0 set advantage.

The Lady Tamaraws never looked back, compounding the woes of the Lady Warriors, who have now lost 16 straight games.

FEU faces a tougher challenge next in defending champ National U as they collide Saturday, Feb. 21, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.
