Wello Lingolingo and the UE Red Warriors hope to turn their season around when they face the skidding Ateneo Blue Eagles in the UAAP Season 88 men’s basketball tournament on Wednesday, November 5.

Tip off is 2 p.m. at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Red Warriors (0–9) welcome back Lingolingo, who returns from a three-game suspension and is expected to provide a much-needed spark as UE continues its search for a breakthrough win.

Still winless this season, the Warriors aim to add to Ateneo’s struggles and finally snap their long losing skid, which has stretched to 15 games dating back to last year.

With Lingolingo’s return, the Red Warriors will look to tighten their backcourt defense and provide more offensive options.

Ateneo, meanwhile, is reeling from a five-game losing skid after a promising 4–0 start.

The Blue Eagles’ last win came on October 5, and they are determined to get back on track.

In their previous meeting, Ateneo escaped UE, 62–60, in a tightly contested first-round battle.

With both teams hungry for redemption, expect a fierce showdown between a desperate UE side and an Ateneo squad fighting to keep its season alive.
