It’s no longer surprising though.
It’s no secret Kiefer Ravena can do pretty much everything on the court, from orchestrating the offense to scoring in a variety of ways.
But there’s more to the Shiga Lakes ace than meets the eye.
It’s also no secret he boasts a basketball IQ that can one day land him a coaching gig in the collegiate ranks or the pros.
He showed fans just that in this tweet by UAAP statistician Pong Ducanes in the aftermath of La Salle Green Archers’ UAAP Season 86 conquest at the expense of the UP Fighting Maroons.
“He said if UP scores less than 70 and shoots less than 30% from 3, La Salle has a chance,” Ducanes said in the tweet on X.
Ravena was spot on as UP only shot 6% from the three-point area in the 73-69 loss to the Green Archers, who relied on eventual Finals MVP Kevin Quiambao.

Ducanes also reposted that same tweet on Instagram and accompanied it with a prediction that could also very well be accurate.
“Future coach @kieferravena15,” he said.

When Ravena finally decides to hang his sneakers up and call it a—decorated—career, there’s no doubt teams will give him a call.
But for now, he’s focused on helping the Lakes, currently toting a 13-6 win-loss record, regain B1 status in the Japan B.League.
