Unbeaten in four straight games and having dropped just two games in total, Team Liquid PH enters the MSC 2025 Grand Finals in peak form in challenging the defending champions Selangor Red Giants OG Esports.
Heading into the 2025 MLBB Mid-Season Cup (MSC) Grand Finals, EXP laner Sanford Vinuya isn’t worried about the pressure of facing the defending champions Selangor Red Giants OG Esports.
Instead, his focus is on a simple yet effective strategy.
“We just need to play with full enjoyment,” Sanford said when asked about TLPH’s game plan in dethroning the Malaysian-based squad and claiming the crown.
The reigning MPL PH champions sent ONIC ID packing after a methodical 3-1 semifinals win to reach the championship round.
It also marked the fourth straight win of the tournament for the ‘Cavalry,’ who have dropped just two games heading into the winner-take-all showdown set for August 2, at 7:00 p.m. (PH time).
“I do believe it’s all about chemistry, the gameplay itself, and also the help of the coaching staff for us to secure the win in the semifinals,” Vinuya added on what worked for TLPH against ONIC ID.
Head coach Rodel "Ar Sy" Cruz also shared insight into the team’s preparations for the highly-anticipated clash with the defending champions.
“We’re going to add some strategies for tomorrow and improve on certain aspects,” Cruz bared.
After semifinal finishes in 2023 and 2024, TLPH is at their closest shot at the championship, with a chance to become the fourth Philippine team to win the prestigious tournament.
Team Liquid also aims to avoid a repeat of last year’s Grand Finals, where RSG Philippines claimed the title at the expense of Philippine bet AP Bren.
