Alas Pilipinas are gearing up for a challenging run in the 2025 Southeast Asian Volleyball League (SEA V.League), and standing in their way are some of the region's most dominant volleyball stars.

These players have proven themselves on the international stage, making them key targets for the Philippines to contain if the team hopes to finish on the podium.

Ajcharaporn Kongyot (Thailand)

The 30-year-old outside hitter remains Thailand’s heartbeat on offense and defense. A former Asian Games medalist and consistent VNL campaigner, Ajcharaporn brings a wealth of international experience, making her a tough cover for any team.

Ajcharaporn’s all-around skill set—solid passing, powerful spikes, and court leadership—will truly test Alas Women’s capabilities.

Pimpichaya Kokram (Thailand)

Thailand’s premier opposite hitter, Pimpichaya is known for her quick attacks and scoring consistency. She was instrumental in Thailand’s dominance in Southeast Asia and remains a go-to option in crunch time.

Her height and speed make her a dangerous weapon, especially against teams with less imposing blockers.

Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi (Indonesia)

Nicknamed “Megatron,” the Indonesian opposite is one of the most explosive hitters in the region. Megawati made waves in international leagues and continues to be Indonesia’s offensive spearhead.

She will make her return to Indonesia in the SEA V.League, meaning that Alas Women will need to give it their all to secure at least a podium finish.

Tran Thi Thanh Thuy (Vietnam)

The 6-foot-4 outside hitter and Vietnam’s captain has always been a game-changer.

T4 has played in Japan and Turkey, gaining elite-level experience that has translated into consistent, high-level play. Her height advantage and versatility on both attack and defense make her one of the toughest opponents in the tournament.

Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen (Vietnam)

Known for her thunderous spikes and back-row attack capability, Bich Tuyen complements T4 perfectly as Vietnam have continued their rise in international volleyball over the past year.

At just 25 years old, she is already a fixture in Vietnam’s starting lineup and a reliable scorer who has been a thorn in Alas’ side.

With these regional stars on the other side of the net, Alas Pilipinas will need to lean on its depth, chemistry, and the firepower of Angel Canino, Bella Belen, and Alyssa Solomon to compete at the highest level.
