Slovakian import Katrin Trebichavska is loving every second of playing for the Cignal Super Spikers.
It didn’t take long for Katrin Trebichavska to make her presence felt — and even less time for her to feel like she belonged.
Just over two weeks since joining the Cignal Super Spikers, the Slovakian import already looks and sounds like someone who has been part of the program for years.
Trebichavska powered Cignal to a crucial four-set win over Akari, 25-21, 23-25, 25-20, 25-20, in the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference on Thursday, November 6, at the FilOil EcoOil Arena in San Juan.
She finished with a game-high 25 points on 22 attacks, two blocks, and an ace, lifting Cignal to a 3-3 record good for 8th in the overall standings.
“Obviously, the whole team had a really good mindset going into this,” she said during the post-game press conference. “We all wanted to win. We all knew we can, and there was never hesitation. Everybody was so sure we can do this. And we did it.”
Chemistry built fast — and naturally
Despite arriving late to the conference, Trebichavska’s adjustment has been relatively smooth. She credits that to how quickly Cignal embraced her.
“I’ve said it before, and I still stand by it. The team is amazing,” she shared. “Everybody’s helping me a lot, and I feel like I’ve been here for two and a half weeks and I feel like I have strong friendships with my teammates already.”

The 25-year-old Slovakian also admitted she didn’t expect to feel this comfortable, this fast.
“I feel very welcome here. I feel like I’ve been here for much longer than I actually have,” she said. “I just wish the season were longer because I’m really enjoying this and the chemistry.”

Trebichavska’s arrival seems to have sparked renewed energy for the Super Spikers, which now carries momentum into the crucial phase of the tournament.
And if Trebichavska continues to settle in the way she has, Cignal’s late push might be coming at exactly the right moment as they face the unbeaten ZUS Coffee next Thursday, November 13, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
