The PLDT High Speed Hitters resumed their dominance in the PVL after sweeping the Capital1 Solar Spikers, 25-22, 25-20, 25-23, in the 2025 Reinforced Conference at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Monday, October 13.

Fresh off back-to-back PVL titles, the High Speed Hitters showed no signs of a championship hangover after opening their Reinforced title hunt on a strong note.

PLDT also extended its winning streak to 14 games, dating back to its perfect run in the On Tour and Invitational tournament.

To make matters worse for Capital1, libero Roma Mae Doromal went down with a stomach cramp after diving for the ball during the third set.

Russian import Anastasiia Bavykina impressed in her debut match for the two-time PVL champions, but it was Savi Davison who starred in the match with 22 points on 15 attacks and seven blocks.

The High Speed Hitters will aim for a 2-0 start in the conference against the Choco Mucho Flying Titans. On the other hand, the Solar Spikers will take a shot at their first win against the Nxled Chameleons.

Both games will be on Thursday, October 16, still at the Big Dome.
