Heather Guino-o hopes her breakout performance can eventually lead to victories for the Cignal HD Spikers in their 2025 PVL Invitational campaign.
Heather Guino-o made the most of her starting role in Cignal’s 2025 PVL Invitational opener.
The former FEU standout delivered a breakout performance for the HD Spikers, scoring 21 points in their tough five-set loss to the Creamline Cool Smashers, 25-22, 17-25, 25-22, 11-25, 7-15, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City on Thursday, August 21.
Coming off back-to-back losses in the PVL on Tour, which ended with a fourth-place finish, Guino-o was hoping to repay the trust that the coaching staff and teammates had placed in her with a win.
The 27-year-old spiker, who signed with the HD Spikers during the offseason, admitted that her starting role and extended minutes only fueled her motivation to give her best.
“Ayoko rin po masayang ‘yung chance na binibigay sakin and, ramdam na ramdam po 'yung tiwala ng coaches, management, teammates,” she shared.

Despite a 0-2 record already in the Invitationals, Guino-o remains locked in on continuing to push harder and help Cignal achieve better results moving forward.
The HD Spikers are hoping that Guino-o's emergence can spark their campaign as they try to bounce back against the unbeaten PLDT High Speed Hitters on Saturday, August 23.
