Birthday celebrant Kianna Dy will hope to have double the reason to celebrate as she rallies the PLDT High Speed Hitters against fellow undefeated team NXLED Chameleons in the PVL on Tour on Saturday 4:00 p.m. at the University of San Jose-Recoletos Coliseum in Cebu.

Both teams sport identical 3-0 records in Pool A, but it’s PLDT — anchored by veterans and high-caliber talent — that enters the matchup as the more seasoned contender.

While NXLED has dazzled in its surprise run behind young guns Lyann De Guzman and Jovelyn Fernandez, PLDT is expected to bring poise and power behind the energy of Dy, Kiesha Bedonia and Jovelyn Prado, who continue to deliver stability on both ends of the floor.

Adding to PLDT’s arsenal are middle blockers Majoy Baron and Mika Reyes who look to dominate the net and neutralize NXLED’s youthful firepower.

Though the Chameleons — bolstered by Chiara Permentilla and EJ Cariño — have proven they’re no pushovers, the match presents their toughest test yet against a PLDT side with championship aspirations.

With a ticket to the next round on the line, expect a battle of grit versus experience as Cebu hosts one of the most compelling showdowns of the PVL on Tour so far.
