The Galeries Tower Highrisers turn over a new leaf with draftees Jean Asis and Winnie Bedaña, after a historic playoff appearance in the PVL.
Second overall pick Jean Asis and former UPHSD standout Winne Bedaña headline a fresh batch of reinforcements for the Galeries Tower Highrisers as they battle the Choco Mucho Flying Titans in the PVL on Tour preseason showcase on Saturday, June 28 at the Batangas City Sports Center.
Riding the momentum of a historic playoff breakthrough in the 2024–25 All-Filipino Conference, Galeries Tower is eager to showcase its growing depth and youthful promise in its first major test of the preseason.
With new faces joining a core built around France Ronquillo, Jewel Encarnacion, Fhen Emnas, and Dimdim Pacres, the Highrisers are looking to build chemistry and momentum heading into the new season.
Playmaker Ivy Perez also joins the mix to provide experience in the backcourt alongside Emnas, while Asis and Bedaña will be tasked with bolstering Galeries’ net presence against Choco Mucho’s seasoned attackers.
The Flying Titans, meanwhile, will be without first-round draft pick and rising setter Tia Andaya, who remains on national team duty with Alas Pilipinas alongside Mars Alba.
Veteran floor general Deanna Wong will take charge of Choco Mucho’s offense, with Des Cheng, Isa Molde, and Dindin Santiago-Manabat leading the attack crew.
Kylene Villegas, a new addition in the middle, will be one to watch for Choco Mucho as she tries to make an early impression in the absence of the team’s top young setters.
While the match is technically a tune-up, it offers both sides a valuable opportunity to test rotations, blend new pieces, and ignite preseason momentum—especially for a Galeries squad intent on proving its playoff run was just the beginning.
