The Cignal HD Spikers continued their strong start in the PVL on Tour after sweeping the Capital1 Solar Spikers.

The Cignal HD Spikers completed a perfect run up North after sweeping the Capital1 Solar Spikers, 25-21, 25-22, 25-16, in the PVL on Tour at the Chavit Coliseum in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur on Monday, June 23.
Despite a much better showing from the Solar Spikers compared to their first game, the HD Spikers showed no signs of letting up in their strong start to the tournament.
In the third set, Cignal started on a 6-1 blast as they took advantage of Capital1’s lackluster reception.
The Solar Spikers managed to trim the deficit to just three points at 11-14. However, the HD Spikers would go on a 5-0 run, led by rookie Jessa Ordiales, to pull away in the match.
Ordiales put the finishing touch after delivering a kill block on Trisha Genesis.
Team captain Gel Cayuna was hailed the Player of the Game after delivering 27 excellent sets along with five points.
Cignal will be back on July 1 when they take on the Creamline Cool Smashers at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.
On the other hand, Capital1 will have an 11-day break before facing the Chery Tiggo Crossovers at the Ynares Center Montalban on July 5.
