Volleyball stars Aby Maraño, Ara Galang, Cza Carandang, Alina Bicar, Mylene Paat, and Kamille Cal revealed their love for Mobile Legends, which became a therapeutic bonding activity during the pandemic.
The Chery Tiggo Crossovers are all business inside the volleyball taraflex—but off the court, they’ve found an equally competitive battleground: Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
During their visit to Day 2 of the MPL Season 15 Playoffs, the Crossovers had plenty of fun as they watched the defending champions ONIC PH take down Aurora Gaming.
After the match, the Crossovers got to meet ONIC PH, where they got to chat and take photos with the players.
“Relatable siya for us,” team veteran Aby Maraño said during a press conference interview. “Kaya we find it really loveable ‘yung Mobile Legends.”
What started as casual curiosity quickly turned into a full-blown team bonding activity.
Middle blocker Cza Carandang and setter Alina Bicar were the first to dive in.
Mylene Paat followed, and soon, even Maraño, Ara Galang, and Akari’s Kamille Cal were hooked.

Before they knew it, the whole squad, including their coaches, were queuing up together in five-man squads.
“It’s really therapeutic for us,” Maraño explained. “Kasi that time, wala kaming resort, kasi walang volleyball for two years. Nung nagkaroon ng Mobile Legends, dun talaga nag-shift ‘yung outlet namin to get by.”
“Yung competitiveness namin, dun namin naibuhos. Naging thing na talaga siya for us,” she added.

But speaking of five-man squads, the Crossovers were also asked if they would be willing to face Smart Omega Empress.
Recently bought by Natus Vincere, Smart Omega Empress are the reigning queens of MLBB esports after taking home the MLBB Women’s Invitational championship at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, last year.
With this in mind, the PVL stars had this to say.
“Mga three minutes palang, tapos na ‘yung laro,” laughed Maraño.
“Kung sa yabang lang, palag yan,” Cal chimed in.
“Sobrang kawawa po kami,” Bicar admitted.
“Alam ko na. Okay lang, basta after may volleyball din naman,” Galang joked.
Even their IG handles show how much fun they’re having:
- Carandang – @czasobad
- Galang – @dao.ming.zi
- Cal – @malborolight
- Paat – @mtempest
- Bicar – @hahahatdog
- Maraño – @tyanginames
Whether it’s executing a quick attack or securing a savage kill, Chery Tiggo is all about teamwork—on court or online.
