The Capital1 Solar Spikers are the 12th and newest team in the 2024 PVL conference.

Former UE Lady Red Warriors captain Ja Lana will headline the new squad as she enters the pro scene.

In a one-on-one interview with One Sports, Ja shares her main contributions for her new squad as she makes the jump to the PVL.

“Siguro ‘yong feel ko na pinaka-maco-contribute ko, ‘yong willingness ko talagang maglaro. Since baguhan uli ako sa pro, so ‘yong eagerness ko talaga, ando’n na naman,” says Ja.

As the new kids on the block, Lana is ready to bring her “Warrior” energy from UE all the way to the Solar Spikers.

Along with Ja is their new libero, Sofia Nipa.

Sofia came from the DLSU Lady Spikers. In an admirable effort, she is now balancing her time between studying and working as a pro for the Solar Spikers.

Sofia shared that she is getting the most of the opportunity to be part of the team. While this is unexpected for her, Nipa is grateful for passing the tryouts to make the Solar Spikers roster.

The Capital1 Solar Spikers may just be starting, but they are not starting from scratch. With energetic acquisitions like Ja and Sofia, they most definitely have a great opportunity to rise.
