The UAAP Season 87 women’s volleyball finals concluded in thrilling fashion as the NU Lady Bulldogs emerged victorious over the DLSU Lady Spikers, clinching back-to-back championships.
The Smart Araneta Coliseum and Mall of Asia Arena were alive with energy as passionate supporters witnessed the crowning moment of a season defined by fierce competition and incredible talent. And as it turns out, even the stars were fans.
Among them was popular television host Vice Ganda, whose infectious enthusiasm and unkabogable charm added to the electric atmosphere as he cheered alongside friends.
Adding to the nostalgia and excitement were former UAAP stars Alyssa Valdez, Thea Gagate, Julia Coronel, Julienne Levina, and Maicah Larroza, who returned to their collegiate roots to support their alma mater and relive memories of their own epic battles.
Their presence brought a heartwarming connection between past and present, reminding everyone why UAAP volleyball remains a beloved tradition.
The Mall of Asia Arena also played host to professional player Sachi Minowa (also known as Jaja Santiago), who made a special appearance to rally behind the NU Lady Bulldogs, symbolizing the powerful link between collegiate success and professional achievement.
