The Akari Chargers have begun preparing for the third PVL conference set to unfurl on October.

In her Instagram story, Akari star Faith Nisperos reposted a video of the team at the FilOil EcoOil Centre warming up for their training session.

The Chargers were booted out early from the PVL Invitational Conference after finishing with a 1-3 record in Pool A despite the much talked about entry of Nisperos

The team also lost a thrilling five-set match versus the Petro Gazz Angels in the 9th place match to finish 10th in the league's midseason tourney ruled by guest team Kurashiki Ablaze. Akari's 10th place finish comes on the heels of an 8th place finish in the PVL's season-opening All-Filipino joust, which means the Jorge de Brito-helmed squad is determined to climb up in the standings next conference.

Nonetheless, Akari will have plenty to look forward to in the upcoming conference, especially with the highly-anticipated PVL debut of former De La Salle Lady Spiker Fifi Sharma, who has been settling in nicely with the team.

Of course, the Chargers will also have one more team to prepare for following the addition of their sister team, the NXLED Chameleons, who are sure to add even more intrigue to what is already shaping up to be an interesting season ender for the PVL.

So, could this be the conference the young Akari squad finally makes a breakthrough?

Fans are definitely excited to find out.
