Alex Eala is aiming for a spot in the final four of the first-ever Philippine Women's Open, as she takes on Camila Osorio.
World No. 49 Alex Eala is in the quarterfinals of the first-ever Philippine Women's Open. Her biggest challenge of the WTA 125 tournament yet is fifth seed Camila Osorio of Colombia, the World No. 84 and a three-time WTA 250 champion.

Eala saves a match point, but it was not enough. The second seed and World No. 49 could not keep up the fight and Osorio gets the sweep, plus the ticket to the semifinals, 6-4, 6-4.
It's a back-and-forth case of losing serves, but Osorio is just one game short of sweeping this quarterfinal, 5-4.
Eala though isn't going home just yet, showing her mastery at the net and tying things up, 4-4.
The Colombian breaks Eala's serve again for the 4-3 lead. Just two more games for a ticket to the semifinals.
Alex finds a way to bounce back and ties things up at 2-2. A series of errors gave the Filipina a scare, but her forehand straights continue to work wonders and Eala gets the 3-2 lead.
Osorio manages to break Eala's serve twice and remains ahead, 2-1.

Osorio powers through in Set 1 and gets the advantage, 6-4.
Eala stays alive in the set, yelling and finding her way towards 4-5.
Osorio's soft touches gets the better of Eala, and the Colombian takes the 5-3 lead.
The World No. 84 Osorio manages to shake off the pressure and takes a game for herself after a deuce. Things are tied in the first set, 3-3.
Double fault for Alex gives Camila the advantage. But the Colombian wasn't able to capitalize, as the Filipina turned things around. Eala gets the 3-2 edge.

The Colombian managed to bounce back and get two games in a row against the Filipina, 2-1.
