After trailing by 12 early, Cleveland controlled the second half and improved to 22-18 out East.
Meanwhile, the Timberwolves got 25 points apiece from Anthony Edwards and Naz Reid.
Minnesota lost its five-game winning streak in the process and dropped to 25-14.
