The Filipina5 blazed to a strong start but couldn’t sustain it to the finish, losing a close 2-3 decision to Morocco in the FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup Philippines 2025 Monday at the PhilSports Arena.

The host team dropped to 0-2 while the world no. 31 Morocco drew level to 1-1 after an opening loss to Argentina.

The Filipina5 registered their first two goals of the World Cup within the first seven minutes of the match, courtesy of Inday Tolentin and Cathrine Graversen to the delight of the home crowd.

But the cheers inside the PhilSports Arena in Pasig gradually dissipated after the Philippines surrendered three straight goals before the first half expired.

Even with a raucous crowd behind them, the Filipinas just couldn’t conjure something in the last 20 minutes to force an equalizer.

Filipina5 will try to salvage a win before their exit, but will have to do it against the formidable Argentina team on Thursday, Nov. 27, at the same venue.
