Filipino fan-favorite Lito “Thunder Kid” Adiwang will report for duty at ONE Fight Night 37 on Prime Video.

A mainstay in ONE Championship’s strawweight MMA division, the 32-year-old veteran will test new waters at flyweight against Argentina’s Mauro “Dinamita” Mastromarini on November 8 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

“I decided to move up to flyweight because I felt that my true power is in this division. I am confident that I can deliver a better performance in flyweight because this is my normal weight right now,” he said.

Adiwang, who holds a 16-6 professional record, returned from an ACL injury in 2023 and notched three straight victories.

The win streak includes a first-round knockout win over Adrian Mattheis, followed by dominating performances against fellow Filipino Jeremy Miado and Danial Williams.

However, his momentum was halted by the no. 4-ranked strawweight MMA contender Keito Yamakita at ONE Fight Night 28 last February. The Soma Fight Club representative succumbed to the Japanese fighter’s suffocating grappling arsenal and lost via unanimous decision.

Looking to start fresh, Adiwang’s first test will be Mastromarini, who’s coming down from the bantamweight ranks.

The 27-year-old last faced Team Lakay star Carlo “The Bull” Bumina-ang at ONE Fight Night 34 in August. “Dinamita” had no answers for the Filipino’s pressure and was stopped via TKO in the first round.

With redemption on his mind, Adiwang promises a dynamic showing in his new weight class.

“Fans can expect a bigger, stronger, and more explosive Thunder Kid in my flyweight debut. Someone is going to sleep, and it's not gonna be me,” he said.

ONE Fight Night 37 will be headlined by Roman Kryklia going up against Samet Agdeve for the inaugural ONE Heavyweight Kickboxing World Championship.

Bumina-ang is also slated to compete on the same card against undefeated Elbek Alyshov in a three-round bantamweight MMA clash.
