Jack Animam and the Ringwood Hawks opened their NBL1 South Women season with a lopsided victory.
Jack Animam put up a rousing debut as Ringwood clobbered Kilsyth, 83-55 in the NBL1 South Women on Wednesday, April 3.
Animam, who signed with the team on March 30, finished with game-high 19 points to go with seven rebounds, two assists, and three steals. She shot 100 percent from the field, making all nine of her shots.
Ahlise Hurst added 15 points, two rebounds, and the same number of assists and steals, while Aneta Bandilovska added 11 markers, five boards, six dimes, and a steal.
The Hawks raced off to a scintillating start to set the tone for the rest of the match.
The Cobras showed signs of life in the payoff period, but Ringwood built enough cushion to make up for a sloppy fourth period on the way to the win.
Nikita Young paced the Cobras with 15 points and five rebounds.
Georgia Booth added nine points while Tegan Cunningham and Caitlin Cunningham combined for 14.
