Jack Animam makes Australia the next stop of her international journey, after previous stints in Taiwan, Serbia, and China.
Jack Animam continues to blaze the trail for Filipina hoopers abroad.
The Gilas Women star is headed to Australia, set to play for the Ringwood Hawks in the NBL1 South Conference.
“I’m excited to play for the Ringwood Hawks and I’m looking forward to a great season,” Animam said.
Animam makes Australia the next stop of her international journey, after previous stints in Taiwan, Serbia, and China.
In her most recent season in the Women’s Chinese Basketball Association, Animam averaged 11 points, 12 rebounds, and 2 steals per game for Wuhan Shengfan.
In Australia, Animam will look to help improve Ringwood, as the Hawks finished the 2023 season in 7th place with a 13-9 record.
“We want to see as many people as possible supporting Jack and the team and watching her representing the Ringwood Hawks,” coach Jeremy O’Toole said.
“Jack has a powerful platform to be an incredible role model to young girls playing basketball and we hope to help build and support that, so she can continue to give back to the next generation,” he added.
Animam’s NBL1 season will get going right away, as the Hawks host the Kilsyth Cobras on April 3.
