Iowa is back in the Final Four as the Hawkeyes bank on 41 points from Caitlin Clark to eliminate defending NCAA Champion LSU.
The Caitlin Clark experience sure hits different this year.
Clark went supernova Tuesday (PHL), leading her no. 1 Iowa Hawkeyes to a 94-87 Elite Eight win to now-former champions LSU Tigers in the 2024 NCAA Women’s National Championship.
Caitlin has once again taken over March Madness, and this time the US NCAA’s all-time leading scorer dropped 41 big ones, eliminating LSU and taking a measure of revenge after losing the national championship to the Tigers last year.
Aside from her 41 points, Clark also had 12 assists and two steals. She shot 9/20 from three and played all 40 minutes.
Iowa is back in the Final Four and the Hawkeyes will either face Paige Bueckers and UConn, or JuJu Watkins and USC. Both teams are playing as of press time.
Flau'jae Johnson led LSU with 23 points in the loss, while Angel Reese had 17 points and 20 rebounds.
