Does pineapple belong on pizza? Logic says no. But many people out there believe so with tremendous conviction. In conclusion, the answer to this question of biblical proportions is: It’s debatable.
What’s not debatable is the important role of sports among the youth. Ask any parent or pediatrician what they would rather see. Is it a child sweating it out playing football or basketball or ping pong? Or a kid sitting in a corner intensely focused on his or her gadget? You know what’s right the answer.
This brings us to Philippine hoops icon Jimmy Alapag and his latest Instagram posts about his youngins. On Wednesday, the Gilas Pilipinas legend shared a few snaps of his kids in action. The first one was a photo of his 11-year-old Ian Maximus in complete American football gear.
“Our football player,” Jimmy’s wife LJ Moreno-Alapag wrote as a caption.
Apparently, Ian Maximus is a two-sport athlete. The next picture features him on the pitcher’s mound ready to throw a 90 km/hour fastball.
“And baseball player,” she said.
Not to be outdone, nine-year-old Keona Skye Alapag posed for the cameras as well. She was on the cheerleading team and she looked fantastic.
For sure, little Keona has what it takes to be a cheerleader. She’s got the moves and the swag. Don't be fooled by her cuteness, though, the girl can ball out as well. Not too long ago, Mrs. Alapag posted a video of Keona showing out on the hardwood with bunch of boys, which were probably the same age as her.
Captain Jimmy has always been a role model during his playing days. As it is, he remains that way now that his raising a family in the US. Yep, he’s doing all that, while thriving as a member of the Sacramento Kings coaching staff.
