One of the faces of the local esports scene, Claudine "Odin" Tayco shared the significance of events like the 2025 Philippine GameDev Expo when it comes to gamers.
Esports personality Claudine "Odin" Tayco believes that an all-Filipino Grand Finals is likely to happen in the Mid-Season Cup 2025.
Odin shared her predictions for the two Philippine bets competing at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Team Liquid PH got off to a winning start after cruising past Egypt’s Ultra Legends in Group A play. The reigning MPL PH champions take on ONIC ID later, and another win would send TLPH into the knockout playoffs.

“I think about sila ng Grand Finals, and if ever, magiging Grand champions,” Odin revealed.
While it was a positive start for TLPH, the opposite happened to ONIC PH as the Super Family dropped their Group B opener against Aurora Türkiye.

But Odin remained optimistic for the defending M6 titleholders.
“We saw them struggle, but I think aabot sila ng semis at the very least and aabot din sila ng Grand Finals. Hindi naman sa pagiging biased sa Pilipinas pero 'yun na yon,” she claimed.
Odin graced the opening day of the 2025 Philippine GameDev Expo, the country’s largest trade event dedicated to the game development industry, at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
She shared that the event is an opportunity to welcome all kinds of individuals, on top of providing a platform for local talents to build and strengthen industry linkages in the domestic and international scene.
“For example, napadaan ka lang dito and nabalitaan mo lang ‘yun mga ganitong expo, and it’s very welcoming since no one will judge you ano man ang edad mo. Madami silang pwedeng iexplore, mag-try na games or ma-inspire sila sa mga set-ups,” she added.
