The countdown to the FIVB 2025 Men’s World Championship got an extra jolt of excitement on Tuesday as four members of Alas Pilipinas Women took the LRT-2 for a special promotional ride, engaging fans and raising awareness for the prestigious event.

Led by team captain Jia De Guzman, Alas Women, which also included libero Dawn Macandili-Catindig and outside hitters Vanie Gandler and Alleiah Malaluan, joined officials from the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the Recto-to-Santolan trip.

“This is a rare opportunity for the country to host a very prestigious event, the world championship,” said De Guzman.

The FIVB Men’s Worlds runs from September 12 to 28 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum and SM Mall of Asia Arena, featuring 32 of the world’s best teams.
