The Adamson Lady Falcons bounce back, frustrating the winless UE Lady Warriors in UAAP Season 88 women's volleyball.
The Adamson Lady Falcons rediscovered their winning ways with a four-set decision against the UE Lady Warriors, 25-15, 25-18, 21-25, 25-18 in UAAP Season 88 at the Mall of Asia Arena on Saturday.
Adamson rebounded from a third-set loss where personnel issues and 10 errors gave UE the push it needed to force an extension.
Despite the setback, Adamson was able to regain composure thanks to the return of Shaina Nitura, who extended her streak of double-digit scoring games in the UAAP.
By the second technical timeout, Adamson was ahead comfortably, 16-11, after a Nitura score.
Nitura, who was rested for most of the third set, finished with a triple-double of 19 points with 13 excellent digs and 12 excellent receptions.
Frances Mordi also added 19 points, while Faye Sagaysay stepped up in the scoring column with 10 markers.
Bea Zamudio paced UE with a balanced outing of 13 points, 13 excellent digs, and nine excellent receptions in the losing effort.
Adamson thus extends UE’s winless run to 17 games. Meanwhile, the Lady Falcons improve to 2-1 for the season.
