Reigning Rookie-MVP Josh Ybanez rallies UST's cause against NU, snapping the reigning titlist's 34-game win run dating back to 2019.
Josh Ybanez negated the combined 28-point output of National University's Nico Almendras and Jade Disquitado as he turned in an all-around game in University of Santo Tomas' 25-23, 26-24, 25-19 romp over the Bulldogs in the UAAP season 86 men's volleyball tourney at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay on Sunday, Feb. 18.
Ybanez, who captured both the Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player honors last year, logged 12 attacks in his 12-point total which he complemented with seven digs and five excellent receptions on the defensive end.
