'Play Alyssa Valdez!' Fans plead coach Jorge De Brito as Philippines enters do-or-die game

Philippine women's volleyball team captain and the country's flagbearer for the 32nd Southeast Asian Games Alyssa Valdez has yet to play in the biennial meet, and the fans are growing more and more frustrated.

The Phenom was not fielded against Cambodia last Tuesday, but that lopsided game did not require the services of Valdez as Team Philippines easily dominated the host country.

The team captain assured she's 100% ready and coach Jorge Edson Souza De Brito himself said Valdez is not bothered by injury. That's why fans are bewildered that the three-time PVL MVP was not tapped in a crucial three-set loss against Vietnam.
