Camila Osorio wasted no time in getting things going against Argentina’s Solana Sierra to set up a clash with Donna Vekic in the Philippine Women’s Open finals.
Colombia’s Camila Osorio dazzled in a dominating win over Argentina’s Solana Sierra in the semifinal of the Philippine Women’s Open, 6-0, 6-1, to reach the championship round of the WTA 125 tournament at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center on Friday.
Osorio, who beat Eala in the quarterfinals the night before, wasted no time in claiming her spot in the next round.
Against the higher-seeded Sierra, Osorio hardly missed a beat, needing only 46 minutes to clinch her spot in the final. She faces Donna Vekic for all the marbles.

Osorio was on the way to a double bagel semifinal win when she was ahead, 5-0, after holding her serve in Game 5 of the second set.
But Sierra was determined to at least get herself on the board, playing a service game to love in the next game to avoid a double bagel, 1-5.
It only delayed the inevitable, however, as Osorio did the same in the seventh game to close out the match in record time.
Vekic and Osorio battle for the prestige of becoming the Philippine Women’s Open’s first champion when the final unfurls on Saturday, January 31, still at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center.
