The Capital Solar Spikers eked out a hard-fought five-set victory against the Farm Fresh Foxies, 26-24, 20-25, 28-26, 20-25, 15-11, in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference at the FilOil Centre in San Juan on Thursday, February 26.

In the fifth set, the Solar Spikers raced to an early 4-0 lead, three of which came from Sydney Niegos.

The Foxies, however, eventually managed to tie the game at 10-all behind the combined efforts of Riri Meneses and Ces Molina.

With the game tied, Capital1 pushed ahead once more with a 4-0 run to reach match point, capped off by Ezra Madrigal’s tip attack.

Farm Fresh would get one back after Shaya Adorador's service error. But Bella Been would go on to seal the victory in the next play with a cross-court kill.

Niegos was vital in the Solar Spikers' victory with a career-high 20 points built on 17 attacks, two blocks, and one service ace.

With the win, Capital1 improved to an even 3-3 record, while Farm Fresh slipped to 2-3 for seventh place.

The Solar Spikers will have a nine-day break before they go for back-to-back wins when they face the Akari Chargers on March 7, at the same venue.
