The Chery Tiggo EV Crossovers reached the end of their road trip in the PVL, prompting emotional goodbyes from players and coaches who had called the team their home for years.
Tears, hugs, and heartfelt goodbyes marked the end of an era for the Chery Tiggo EV Crossovers as the team officially drove away after 11 years in the professional ranks.
The announcement came on Tuesday, December 2.
In a statement shared on social media, the franchise reflected on a journey that began in 2014 as the Foton Tornadoes in the Philippine Superliga and evolved into the Chery Tiggo EV Crossovers in the PVL in 2020.
“With heavy hearts, we announce the closing of the Chery Tiggo EV Crossovers’ chapter, after 11 unforgettable years in professional volleyball,” the team wrote.
“We celebrate the milestones: the championships, the talent we developed, and representing the Philippines on the biggest stage.”

The news sparked an outpouring of emotion from players and staff, many taking to social media to share their gratitude and memories.
Aby Maraño captured the bittersweet feeling of the farewell, posting, “To my teammates… my sisters/brozkies, my bebeloves, my nakshiees… my heart hurts the most when I think of you. Thank you for every bruise, sweat, laugh, and tear we shared. I will forever cherish the bond we built—the kind that only comes from fighting side by side, trusting each other point after point.”
Jasmine Nabor expressed her thanks to her teammates.
“We may be apart now, but the memories we shared will never fade,” she posted on Facebook.
Ces Robles reflected on the sense of belonging she found with the team.
Jen Nierva highlighted the personal growth she experienced during her time with the squad: “Grateful for the home that you gave me, the people I met, and the athlete I became during this chapter.”
Cza Carandang also shared her heartfelt message to the team.
“@cherytiggocrossoversph, maraming salamat sa pagmold mo sa akin hindi lang bilang atleta. Hindi ka lang basta team, ikaw ay naging isang pamilya na inuuwian ko araw araw. Nagpapasalamat ako sa lahat ng sumuporta sa buong journey namin. ?? Win or lose anjan kayo!” she posted.
Coach Kungfu Reyes joined in the farewell as well.
“Forever grateful CT EV Family. ‘Til the next ride,” he wrote.
