The Akari Chargers look to extend their giant-killing run as they face the Petro Gazz Angels for a spot in the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference Finals.
The Akari Chargers aim to stretch their stunning late-season surge all the way to the finals as they take on the Petro Gazz Angels in the semifinals of the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference on Thursday, November 27, at 4 p.m. at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Fresh off completing the biggest upset in the playoffs, the Chargers enter the Final Four carrying sky-high confidence after sweeping the top-seeded Farm Fresh Foxies, 28-26, 30-28, 25-21.
It took a total team effort for Akari, led by import Annie Mitchem, who delivered 25 points, while Grethcel Soltones and Eli Soyud added 10 markers each.

Aside from their usual scores, the Chargers got a major boost with Ivy Lacsina returning just before the knockout round, even starting in their quarterfinal match.
Lacsina, who finished with just a single point, will look to provide more scoring output as Akari vies for back-to-back Reinforced Finals appearances.
With their confidence soaring and their rotations clicking at the right time, the Chargers are indeed playing their best volleyball of the season.
And while the challenge awaiting them is formidable, the Tina Salak-coached squad has already proven they can compete — and win — against any team when they play loose, aggressive, and disciplined.
The Akari–Petro Gazz semifinal opens Thursday’s explosive double-header at 4:00 p.m.
