The Akari Chargers are headed to their third straight semifinals after knocking out no. 1 seed Farm Fresh Foxies in the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference quarterfinals.
The no. 8 seed Akari Chargers complete the hard-fought sweep to eliminate the top-ranked Farm Fresh Foxies in straight sets, 28-26, 30-28, 25-21, in the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference quarterfinals on Monday, November 24, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Chargers showed great composure to take the close two sets, which proved to be the same in the decisive third frame.
Tied at 17-all in the third set, Akari banked on locals Gretchel Soltones, Fifi Sharma, and Ced Domingo to put their squad at match point, 24-20.
After Farm Fresh got a point back, import Annie Mitchem sealed the win with a cross-court attack.
Star libero Justine Jazareno also came up big for the Chargers, putting up 21 excellent digs and 10 excellent receptions.
The Chargers are headed to their third-straight semifinals, where they will await the winner between the Petro Gazz Angels and Creamline Cool Smashers.
