RODRIGUEZ, Rizal — Savi Davison uncorked the biggest scoring performance of her PVL career, exploding for 36 points to carry PLDT past Chery Tiggo EV in four sets, 26-28, 25-12, 25-16, 25-13, on Saturday, November 15, at the Ynares Center Montalban.

But even after torching the Crossovers for 33 attacks, two aces, and a block, the Invitational Conference MVP insisted she never once checked the scoreboard for her personal numbers.

“Honestly, I wasn’t keeping track of how many points I was scoring,” Davison said during the post-game press conference.

“I was just happy that we won and that we were able to create gaps and win the last three sets comfortably. I’m really just happy with the win.”

Monster night in front of family

Adding to the emotion of the night was Davison’s family being present among the crowd, most notably her mom, Barbara, which made the milestone performance even sweeter.

“I’m just glad that she was here for it,” Savi shared. “She’s always been there throughout my whole career. I feel super comfortable playing in front of her. I’m glad she was present for this game.”

Triple-double on top of it all

While offensive eruption will grab headlines, Davison also pointed to the defensive side of her game, which the High Speed Hitters' coaching staff helped her sharpen.

The Fil-Canadian spiker also had 10 excellent digs and 10 excellent receptions in the match, making for a strong all-around effort.

“I want to give credit to the coaches because they gave me the template,” said Davison. “I was just in the right spots they told me to be in. It’s more the mental effort at this point than the physical.”

The win pushed PLDT to 6-1 as the High Speed Hitters continue to fight Farm Fresh (6-1) and ZUS Coffee (6-1) for the no. 1 seed heading into the quarterfinals.

Davison and the High Speed Hitters return to action against Petro Gazz on Thursday, November 20, at the Mall of Asia Arena.
